| February 23rd, 2006 - The crane is moves and the lab is now framed in. Looking at the picture below you can see the lab from the girder on the right to 3/4 of the way to the second girder, showing the size of the main lab area. Our area has three windows in it, two in the first section and one in the second (the other window is in the honor lab right next door). The exterior wall is all work area for nonlinear editors, from left to right being edits one and two, photomedia (straddling the second column) and edit three / multimedia. | ||

| Above is the lengthwise view of the classroom building with the concrete center of the Swan Theatre in the foreground. The small line of cement is the outside of the Swan Threatre leading toward the main open room. As Swan goes up I will start posting pictures of it, as it will be very important to Communication Studies. | ||

| A nice side angle lets us see the classroom building. Although a cozy building, it represents a major step forward for Hilbert. I really liked the architect firm which did the plans (Silvestri) and the construction firm that it putting it together at this stage seems to know its stuff. | ||

| Bogel (the old classroom building on the left), Franciscan (the administration building in the center to the rear) and Paczesny (the new building on the right) all in the same frame. The original plans called for a breezeway between Pacesny and Bogel, but that was dropped due to expense. Bogel is long overdue for a total facelift when Pacesny is functional, and she needs it. When both buildings are done it will be like Hilbert got three major classroom buildings in 12 months (Bogel is a long rambling structure that is more like two building crammed into one.) | ||

| I just thought this picture was pretty as the sun started to set. It is very much like my earlier photograph, but is shows less building. Still, it will be pretty in the evening in front of the classroom building. | ||

| Another shot with Bogel, Franciscan, and Paczesny in frame. The concrete in the foreground is the back edge of the Swan Theatre. The green room and backstage area will be in this space. | ||
